Alright, so
I’ve been working at a sandwich shop as a bike deliverer for the past couple months. And today, something interesting happened. I was pulling up to a business and there was a beautiful girl bringing a lot of boxes and bags out of her car into the same building as I was going to. As I was getting on my phone to call the guy who the delivery was for, she came out of the building, looked my way, and simply said, “hi”. I was able to mutter off a “hey” before walking inside. She definitely caught me off guard because she seemed very focused and it’s not often that someone goes out of their way to be nice, even if it is just one word. As I was waiting for the guy to come down to get his sandwich and exchanging pleasantries with the woman at the front desk, I saw the girl coming back from her car with her hands full of more bags. So I proceeded to get the door for her. After leaving the building, I sat and my bike a took a drink from my water bottle, kind of waiting/hoping that she would come out so I could talk to her. Then I thought that I was being silly and probably projecting all of my desires on to this girl that I just saw, so I rode off. But for some reason this small interaction has stuck with me all day. Maybe I should just take it as is. But another part of me hopes I run into her again.
