There’s something to be said about the silence between lovers. It is either because words will hurt too much and the silence acts as a comfort, or it is because words are too little in comparison to the love that can fill an empty air and the silence acts as an amplifier.
Whenever your heart starts to be anxious about the future, preach to your heart and say, ‘Heart, who do you think you are to be afraid of the future and nullify the promise of God? No, heart, I will not exalt myself with anxiety. I will humble myself in peace and joy as I trust this precious and great promise of God—He cares for me.’
I hope that someday, somebody wants to hold you for twenty minutes straight, and that’s all they do. They don’t pull away. They don’t look at your face. They don’t try to kiss you. All they do is wrap you up in their arms, without an ounce of selfishness in it.
These were my favorite films of 2013. I didn’t see as many movies as I would have liked too - making a movie takes up a lot of your time - but these are the ones that resonated with me the most. “To the Wonder” is one of the most profound, misunderstood and underrated films of the year.
